Workcamp Journals

I finally finished the content for the journals we’ll use at workcamp this year. Last year we studied Nehemiah and our daily themes were

1. building
2. cleaning
3. protecting
4. celebrating

This year we’re focusing on faith and deeds. I’m really psyched about the subject matter because I think it’s often confusing for students (and adults).

Here are our daily themes…
1. Created for Good Works [key scriptures Ephesians 2:8-10 and John 21:15-17]
2. Equipped [Hebrews 13:20-21 and Exodus 3:9-12; 4:10-12]
3. Faith and Deeds [James 2:14-19 and also the OT passages of Abraham and Rahab so that we get the whole picture]
4. Grace that Saves [Ephesians 2:8-9, 2:4-5 ; Colossians 1:15-23 and Romans 10:9-12]

The basic arc is that we are created and equipped by God to do the work He plans for us. Faith without action is useless but it is grace [not works] that saves.

Glad to have it done. Hoping it hits the mark.
