Ok, as of yesterday morning it has been 3 weeks since my laptop bit the dust. I’m operating on an old desktop with no disk space to allow for updates and occasionally the computer in the main office at the church. I’ll be honest, it’s been rough.
BUT, it looks like I will be back up and running at the end of this week.
Any ideas on what I should blog about when I get back? I’m open to suggestions.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately! My laptop died almost two weeks ago and the church hasn’t been able to find the money to replace it yet. I’m going insane!!
Although I have been able to catch up on other things with all the time I’m not spending on my computer … spring cleaning, etc. so it’s not all bad.
But it’s mostly bad
I hope to be back soon — but in the meantime, I’ll try to think of some really awesome things to post about when things get back to normal.

One of the 1st graders was hanging out at the food table in the fellowship hall instead of heading to his Sunday school class yesterday morning. I said ‘hey bud, we have snacks waiting for us in Sunday school!!” and we took off down the hall together.
Halfway to the ed building he said “satan was trying to get me to eat those cookies but I told him to get out of my head!” … I high fived him and told him that I have to tell satan that sometimes too.
Sunday school snack turned out to be cookies so everyone ended up happy … except for satan

Alright, I need your help.
For the past few months we’ve been using YouthBytes with our Middle School Guys. I’ve been downloading the clips (for $8.00 each) and printing the talk sheets. It’s the first thing we’ve found that seems to be engaging the guys. The leaders are loving it because it’s well put together and easy to use. The students love it because the videos are aimed right for them. The first one we showed had a giant snake eating a rabbit for goodness sake.
So here’s my problem … I really need to cut what we’re spending on curriculum. As of right now, YouthBytes (the way we’re using it) is a lot more expensive than the stuff the other groups are using.
Does anyone know of anything out there that is like youthbytes but maybe a little cheaper? I’m NOT saying that I think the stuff from YouthBytes is overpriced. I think it’s absolutely worth what it costs! We’re just trying, like everyone, to scale back our spending.
Ideas?
