What I’m Reading…

Finished Wild Goose Chase and now have moved on to Donald Miller’s “Searching for God Knows What”

Here is my favorite passage so far: “Earthly love … is temporal and slight so that it has to be given again and again in order for us to feel any sense of security; but God’s love, God’s voice and presence, would instill our souls with such affirmation we would need nothing more and would cause us to love other people so much we would be willing to die for them. Perhaps this is what the apostles stumbled upon.”

This is the first book I’ve read by Miller. I really like his style. I will probably go out and get Blue Like Jazz (and put it in the huge stack of books I’m trying to find time to read). Also picked up “In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day” at the store today so that one is going in the stack too.

I don’t know what else is in that stack but I am thinking that you will want to put Blue Like Jazz right under In A Pit at the top of the stack :-)
